Surbhi Tiwari

The charismatic and talented actress Surbhi Tiwari has carved out a niche for herself in the hearts of her audience in the Star Plus afternoon show `Kumkum-Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan`. She performs as the love interest of Sumit Wadhwa (played by Hussain) for sometime when the female protagonist Kumkum (played by Juhi Parmar). At one point of the soap, the story revolved around the love-saga of Abha, Sumit and Kumkum. This extremely talented actress has made her television debut at the tender age of 14 with a serial titled `Aaj Ki Sohani` on DD National.

Surbhi Tiwari was crowned in college Miss Mumbai for four times and after that she started with few stories of `Rishtey` and other telefilms on DD. She has also done serials like `Chingari` by Dinesh Bansal on Zee Television and also `Intezaar Aur Sahi` by Rakesh Chowdhary on DD1. She also did two of other Balaji shows called `Bandhan` and `Kanyadan`. But it is the afternoon show of UTV `Shagun` which catapulted her to fame. She has also done hugely popular Balaji shows `Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki` in the character portrayal of Shilpa.

At present Surbhi Tiwari is doing another show called `Nawab Shirajudaulla` on DD Metro. In this historical she plays the character of Begum Lutfunnissa and she claims that role is exactly different from the typical `saans-bahu` flicks. According to her it is not at all difficult to portray this character and she always prefers to go by the research of her producer and director. In the personal front also she is extremely happy and contented and her sweetest childhood memories are those spent with her family. She has an elder sister, a younger brother, mom and dad in her family.

Surbhi Tiwari's family actually hails from Kanpur and she is born and brought up in Mumbai. Her first brush with the camera was with the ad campaign for the Liril soap. Her luck just favored and she got selected as soon as she auditioned for it. She also claims that the character of Aradhana in the aftrenoon show `Shagun` is most close to her heart. That not only catapaulted her to fame but also made what she is today. The actress when complimented on her hot looks remarked that she is also open to do item numbers in films.

Surbhi Tiwari feels proud about the fact that her parents were always there to support her. When she takes up to play any character the most important fact to her is not the slot but the role that she is playing. The only profession that she would have thought in her life to be in was acting and she is happy to be here. She claims that she really needs the love of her fans and also their support and is also thankful to the lot to make what she is today. Her fans are also happy at her soaring popularity in all the characters she enacts and wishes that she scales greater heights of success.
