    • In 1981 he started anchoring the Sunday morning family magazine Aap Ke Liye and continued to do so till 1984.
    • In 1984 marked a turning point in Vinod Dua’s career when he co-anchored the election analysis programs on Doordarshan with noted psephologist Dr. Prannoy Roy and has since then been a regular presence on election analysis programs on different channels.
    • In 1985 Vinod Dua anchored Janvani, the first ever program of its kind, where ministers were questioned by common people.
    • Janvani became a landmark in the history of Indian television, inspiring a series of similar programs in today’s multi-channel scenario.
    • The year 1985 also saw initial openings of Indian television to non-governmental content providers.
    • Vinod Dua produced and directed the first ever privately produced and sponsored current affairs magazine Newsline, with noted journalist M.J. Akbar as its anchor, and Ananda Bazar group as promoters.
    • In 1987, he joined T.V. TODAY - a venture of the India Today group- as its chief producer.
    • In the following year, he launched his own production company ‘The Communication Group’ to produce and anchor current affairs programs, budget analyses and documentary films.
    • In 1992 Vinod Dua anchored Chakravyuha on Zee T.V. From 1992 to 1996 he produced Parakh, a weekly current affairs magazine telecast on Doordarshan.
    • Tasveer-e-Hind (1997-98) on DD3, Chunav Chunauti (March, 1998) on Sony Entertainment Television, election analysis (1999) on Zee News, Pratidin and Parakh (2000-2003) on Sahara T.V. and Kaun Banega Mukhyamantri (2003) on Star News have been the other highlights of Vinod Dua’s career.
