Vanessa Anne Hudgens has appeared in Thunderbird, another Hollywood film before she rose in the stardom in High School Musical, a Disney Channel film, released in the 2003. Vanessa Anne Hudgens was born on December 14, 1988, in Salinas, California. She grew up in San Diego. Her younger sister, Stella Hudgens, is a promising actress. During the Big Band period all the grandparents of Vanessa were musicians and they had a life long attachment with music.

Vanessa Anne Hudgens has started her journey as a singer from the age of eight. She has performed in various musical theaters and also appeared in local productions of Evita, The Wizard of Oz, Carousel, The Music Man, The King and I and Cinderella, among others. Hudgens accomplished the audition for a commercial promotion and afterward moved to Los Angeles with her family.

Even at present she is still close to her family. As Jonathan Ressler says that Vanessa is among them who are unique in beauty, grace, compassion, wisdom and bravery and are individually unforgettable. High School Musical is another drama where Hudgens had the largest role among teenage audiences. In this Disney Channel Original Movie she starred opposite Zac Efron. The film was released in 2006. According to the BBC news in North America, the success of the movie catapulted Hudgens in to a household name. At the Teen Choice Awards Hudgens and Efron won the Best Chemistry award for their roles. Hudgens is at present filming High School Musical 2 in St. George and Salt Lake City, Utah.
