Tisca Chopra is an Indian actress who was born in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh to School Principal S.C. Arora on November 1st 1970. Her mother is also a school teacher for younger children. Tisca has only one sibling Mayur C Arora who currently lives in Vancouver, Canada. She did her Masters in Media Management from Mumbai. Tisca was the First Runner's Up in Miss Mavy Queen Ball and got into modelling from there. Her friend advised her to go into regional and local modelling and Tisca began her career as a low profile homely model.Tisca began to make sporadic appearances such as in 1998's serial Ghutan (younger cousin of Renuka Shahane), Imtihaan (Firdaus Dadi's best friend in college) etc.
Tisca debuted in Bollywood in 1993 against Ajay Devgan in the movie Platform. She was credited as Priya Arora in this movie. Tisca starred in few movies after that which didnt do quite well at box office. After a long hiatus she re-appeared in 2004's Hyderabad Blues 2, where she played a competent BPO Management associate vying for the affections of her boss. Tisca then appeared in a number of television serials such as Sarkaar...Rishton Ki Kahani and Fame Gurukul Celebrity Edition. However her greatest role to date has been that of playing Ishan Avasti Darsheel Safary's mother in the superhit film Taare Zameen Par.
