    Sachida Nagdev
    • Has won numerous awards, starting with Shankars International Children's Art Competition in New Delhi in 1954 and 1955 (when he was 15 years old) and the Osaka Triennale's Yomiuri Telecasting Award.
    • His work is in many important collections, including the National Gallery of Modern Art in Delhi, India; and Contemporary Art Museum, Osaka, Japan.
    • Has participated in around 40 exhibitions, in India, Nepal, Germany, Japan, and the UAE.
    • Is best known for his abstract oil paintings in harmonious colors, though his later work includes some representational art including human figures.
    • Lives and works in Bhopal.
    • In 1970, he was awarded an M.A. in Painting from Vikram University, Ujjain.
    • Graduated from Sir J. J. School of Art, Bombay in 1961 and received and M.A. in ancient Indian History and Culture in 1962.

    Born 25th October 1939 Ujjain, M.P. India. Early training under local signboard painters from the age of nine years. Studied fine arts at Bharti Kala Bhavan, Ujjain, under the guidence of Dr. V.S. Wakankar, renowned archaeologist and artist, and discovered and copied prehistoric rock shelter paintings. Passed G.D. Art from J.J. School of Arts Bombay in 1961 ; M.A. in ancient Indian History and Culture in 1962 and M.A. in Painting from Vikram University, Ujjain in 1970. Awarded Amrita Shergil Fellowship of M.P. Govt. in 1976 and Govt. of India Senior Fellowship in 1997. Widely travelled in India, Nepal, Europe, Japan and the Middle-East.
