Raju was born in Kanpur on 25th december 1963, India, and came to Mumbai to pursue a childhood dream of becoming an actor in Bollywood. He has a flair for comedy and has donned a number of roles in Hindi movies(for example, he can be seen in the Shah Rukh Khan film "Baazigar" as Shilpa Shetty enters her college, soon after her introduction in the movie), television and in stage shows with some of the biggest showmen of the Hindi movie industry. He was also associated with the Indian comic icon Johnny Lever as an important troop member, and made his name as a very talented mimicry artist.
Raju is among the most popular comics appearing on The Comedy Show ha ha ha and its associated programmes.Firstly he was seen in the film 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' starred by 'Salman Khan'.He gained popularity in recent years through the famous stand up comedy show 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge' aired every friday on Star One. He was the runner up in the first season of the show.His humour is mostly based on the observations from day to day life. People love him for his innovation and stark observations he makes out of common people and also non-living things. He is also known to mimic actors of older times.
