Oksana Lada, a native of Ukraine, is at the threshold of an outstanding career. This expatriate fled Eastern Europe for New York in 1995 to pursue a career in acting. A model and a former dancer, she was quickly discovered as a unique talent on stage and screen. Her experience includes the films The Coat Rack, Music, Four Simple Rules, The Technical Writer, which competed at Sundance, and the short Solidarity, by Academy Award Nominee Joan Stein. Oksana is perhaps most recognizable for her four seasons on the Golden Globe award winning HBO series, The Sopranos as Irina, Tony’s Russian mistress. In addition, she has appeared as a guest star on CSI Miami, Hack, Law and Order, Deadline, and Late Line and in the LA MAMA stage productions of Waterfall Reflections and Forrest Song as well as Macbeth with the Luminous Group.
In 2005 Oksana debuted as the lead in the Off-Broadway production of renowned British playwright, David Edgar’s Pentecost which was nominated for a Drama Desk Award in 2005. This production generated a lot of attention from the international and political community in New York. Oksana is a fellow and alumnus of W.H. Studios where she studied her craft with the well respected Wynn Handman who tutored such actors as Denzel Washington, Richard Gere, Alec Baldwin, James Caan and Michael Douglas to name a few.With an accomplished career in the media arts Oksana’s main passion remains feature film. However, aside from her acting and modeling career, she dedicates much of her time to nonprofit organizations, including the Children’s Aid Society and continues to promote democratic development around the world. She lives in New York and often travels to Los Angeles.
