    • Patil also fought along with Aacharya Atre for the creation of a separate Marathi-speaking state out of the Bombay state.
    • In 1957, he got a ticket from Communist Party of India to contest the Lok Sabha elections. And after some disputes he quit the CPI.
    • Patil started his public life in the Indian National Congress but later joined the Shetkari Kaamgaar Paksha with S.K. Patil.
    • He was the first to give a speech in Marathi on the floor of Parliament.
    • Krantisinh Nana Patil was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1957 from north Satara constituency on the ticket of Communist Party of India.
    • Patil was imprisoned several times during the struggle with the British Raj. For a period of 44 months he was underground during the 'Quit India' movement in 1942.
    • Earlier, he had been a part of the revolutionary 'Prati-sarkar' formed in Satara district of west Maharashtra.
    • Nana Patil, popularly known as Krantisinha was an Indian independence activist and Member of Parliament for the Communist Party of India representing Satara.
