Mohit Chauhan is an Indian singer who started his career singing pop songs with the Silk Route band. He is known for his silky romantic voice. He belongs to Nahan in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh and graduated with a Master of Science in Geology from the Dharamshala College. Arguably, his most appreciated song before his film career was "Dooba-Dooba" from their album Boondein.The album debuted at number one of the album chart and the band won several awards at the Channel V awards in 1998.He never took formal training in music, but sings and plays guitar and the flute.
