    Mohit ChauhanMohit Chauhan is an Indian singer who started his career singing pop songs with the Silk Route band. He is known for his silky romantic voice. He belongs to Nahan in the Sirmaur district of  Himachal Pradesh and graduated with a Master of Science in Geology from the Dharamshala College. Arguably, his most appreciated song before his film career was "Dooba-Dooba" from their album Boondein.The album debuted at number one of the album chart and the band won several awards at the Channel V awards in 1998.He never took formal training in music, but sings and plays guitar and the flute.

    His career got a flying start when he was roped in to sing "Khoon Chala" in the film Rang De Basanti by none other than A R Rahman.The song was widely appreciated.His next hit song was "Tum Se Hi"  from the film Jab We Met.His recent hit is the song "Masakali" from the film Delhi-6 composed by A R Rahman too. His latest songs are "Tune Jo Na Kaha" for the film New York and "Ye dooriyan" for Love Aaj Kal.His song "Pehli Baar Mohabbat Ki Hai" from Kaminey is currently topping the charts. MC's voice would be heard in Rakesh Roshan's Kites.His album "Fitoor" is shortly going to hit the music stores under the aegis of Universal Music.The new album will have nine tracks written and composed by the singer himself.
