Logan Lerman is an American actor. He was born in Beverly Hills, California, and decided that he wanted to be an actor at the age of two. He subsequently appeared in two commercials, and made his film debut in 2000's The Patriot, playing William Martin, one of the children of Mel Gibson's character. The same year, he also appeared in What Women Want, a hit comedy also starring Gibson. Lerman's next roles were in 2001's Riding in Cars with Boys, playing the younger version of Adam Garcia's character, and in 2004's The Butterfly Effect, as a younger version of Ashton Kutcher's protagonist.
Lerman has been nominated for another Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film - Leading Young Actor award for his role as William Evans in 3:10 to Yuma. This is the second consecutive year Lerman has been nominated for this award, which he won in 2007. He also appears in two recent films, Meet Bill and Game. In Meet Bill he plays "The Kid" (Lerman's character is actually never referred to by name) and in Game, he plays the role of Simon, who is able to control other humans in a future video game world.
Lerman became good friends with fellow actor Dean Collins, who played his best friend on Jack & Bobby, and they remain close despite the series cancellation. In their spare time, the two collaborate on humorous, quirky, short films. Besides acting in them, they write, direct, and shoot the videos, often enlisting the help of family & friends. These are then uploaded to the popular website YouTube under the joint account name of "monkeynuts1069".
