Gina Holden is a Canadian actress who is currently starring in one TV show still in production. She starred as Dale Arden on the now canceled Flash Gordon series, and as Coreen Fennel on Blood Ties which is currently in its second season on Lifetime. Holden was born in the small town of Smithers, British Columbia. While growing up, Gina and her family moved around frequently. And in every place they settled in, she joined community groups, school plays, and talent shows in order to follow her passion for acting. Her first love was dance, immersing herself in ballet, tap, modern dance, and musical theater.
It was through this passion that she developed her discipline and work ethic – something that would be of value when she pursued a career in acting. When she was fifteen years old, Gina was discovered by a modeling agency which sent her to Japan. She then fervently studied the Japanese culture and language and treated the country as her second home. Appearing in magazines and becoming the face of Shiseido cosmetics, Gina used her modeling career as a stepping stone to pursue bigger dreams in the entertainment industry. She has since appeared in several films and television shows in Canada and the US.
