Gayatri Iyer is a celebrated Indian playback singer. She is considered as one of those who has luck, brains, talent, and beauty, all pushed into one. From the tender age of five years, she started learning Carnatic music. She first started learning Hindustani music in college. Gayatri Iyer is a dedicated student of her present Hindustani music guru, Babanrao Haldankar. At present, Gayatri is attempting to carve a distinct place for herself in Bollywood. She in the recent past portrayed the part of Princess Anjuli in the West End of London musical production of M. M. Kaye`s `The Far Pavilions`.
This is scheduled to open in the summer of 2007.Apart from being an accomplished playback singer, Gayatri Iyer also obtained her graduation degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow a few years back. Rather than establishing herself in the corporate field, she chose to settle her career as a leading playback singer in Bollywood.At the beginning of her career, when Gayatri was anchoring her career by singing jingles, she met her husband Kunal Ganjawala. Kunal Ganjawala is himself a successful Indian playback singer.
