    • BJP circles are agog with rumours that 'mine lord' and Tourism Minister G. Janardhan Reddy has made up his mind to quit the Cabinet.
    • The sources said Reddy is quitting in disgust after his attempts to stall entry of Umesh Katti into the Cabinet failed.
    • MLAs close to Reddy told Star of Mysore yesterday that Reddy, a bete noire of Katti, had been opposing tooth and nail the attempts of Katti to join BJP following Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa's invitation.
    • Katti's entry was delayed in view of Reddy's opposition.
    • His joining of BJP was possible only after Reddy left for London on an official tour.
    • Reddy suspects that by allowing leaders of a particular community, Yeddyurappa was building his own lobby only to contain the influence of Reddy brothers.
    • According to sources, Reddy, soon after his return in a couple of days, is expected to submit his resignation to Party President D.V. Sadanandagowda before the Chief Minister returns from US tour on Sept. 7.
