Floanne Ankah was born and raised in France, Floanne has an international look and can embody various nationalities. Her training in dance and voice make her a unique triple treat performer able to portray a wide range of characters. She is proficient with different levels of accents and has recorded numerous voice-overs for international usage.Floanne Ankah holds a degree from the Merce Cunningham Dance Studio and has choreographed for various venues. She is the founder of simple production, a non-profit organization committed to the development of new work that integrates the talent of innovative and "sparkling" artists from various cultures. Her film "One Way" was awarded the price of Best Experimental Film at the 5th Big Apple Film Festival in New York City.
Floanne Ankah has appeared on television (One Life to Live, Rescue Me, Wifey), in film (Then She Found Me, Rachel Getting Married), and in the theater (The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Julius Caesar) including at the Public Theater. Her New York training includes Jay Goldenberg and Ruth Nerken at the School for Film and Television, Edward Morehouse at the Herbert Berghof Studio as well as improvisation at the Upright Citizens Brigade (301 and sketch).Raised on a farm, she has one brother, Hugo, and one sister, Charlotte. At age 13, she moved to Grenoble to study dance and performing arts intensively at "Institut de la Dance et des Arts de l'Isere". She was awarded the grant "Defi-Jeunes" for her photographic exhibitions. She completed her Bac S in Biology with honors at age 17 (French scientific baccalaureate, mention Bien) and decided to pursue her performing endeavors in United States.
