Debina Bonnerjee, better known as the Sita of current Ramayan on NDTV Imagine, is a trained Kathak Dancer.While watching Sushmita Sen winning the most coveted beauty pageant Ms Universe in the year 1994, Debina was smitten with the glamour world. Then only she had decided to be part of entertainment industry. With full support from her parents, Debina participated in Beauty contests in Kolkata. Later, after her graduation, she moved to Mumbai to get her Diploma in Public Relations from Bhavan's College.
Comments Devina about her role and auditions in Ramayan, "I never wanted to play characters on Television dailies. When I was auditioned for a Mythological show for the Sagar Productions I had no idea that it was for the role of Devi Sita. I was selected and then realized how important it was for me. Ramayan has always been very close to my heart. And getting an opportunity to play the role of Devi Sita was an "icing on cake for me".
