• Briana was in a band called Moorish Idol. She was one of the vocalists and played the keyboard.
• In 2008, Briana won the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss for her role in the movie Step Up 2: The Streets. Robert Hoffman, her kissing partner in the movie also received this award with her.
• As of 2008, Briana has been studying dancing for 9 years.
• Briana is working towards earning a degree in Speech and Communication from the Los Angeles Valley College.
• Briana trained with choreographer Shane Sparks, who is also one of the judges on the MTV show Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew.
• Briana worked with a dance company called E-Funk before she was cast as Andie in the movie Step Up 2: The Streets.
• Before shooting the movie Step Up 2: The Streets, Briana and her castmates sometimes trained for the dancing scenes in the movie for 8 hours a day. To restore her body, she would sit in a bath of ice each night.
• Briana's favourite book is The Face on the Milk Carton by Caroline B. Cooney.
• Although uncredited, Briana was in one scene in the movie Our Lips Are Sealed.
• Briana badly injuried her leg sometime during the filming of Step Up 2: The Streets. In the final dance scene of the movie, dubbed the "rain dance", she is actually wearing a leg brace under her baggy pants, making the moves even harder to pull off.
