Megha Gupta

The very charming and gifted actress Megha Gupta has been successful in making a mark in the television industry by the character portrayal of Satya Shrivastav in the popular Zee show `Mamta` which used to be broadcasted on the popular Zee Television channel sometime back. She is seen as the first widow of the male protagonist of the show Akshay Shrivastav (played by Anand Suryavanshi). The small screen audiences are surprised to know that this brilliant actress is just 23 years of age and has already in her kitty a significant role in one of the superhit shows of the Zee channel.

In contrast to young actors who line up for hours to audition for a role in Ekta Kapoor's daily soaps, the leading lady of "Main Teri Parchchain Hoon" Megha Gupta says she refused the television tsarina's offer thrice. "Ekta called her thrice to star opposite Naman (Shaw) in 'Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thhi' before Anita Hassanandani was roped in for the role. She wanted to study and she was not interested in full-time acting that time, so she had to refuse her thrice for the role.

She went to Balaji for a project as a part of her graduation course and was accidentally sent for the audition for 'Kavyaanajli'. She wasn't even thinking of acting at that time as she had to complete her studies. Ekta wanted her to do the main lead in the show, but she refused. Then she gave her another role in the soap that wouldn't require much of her time and she took it as a means of pocket money while studying. Acting happened by chance for Megha, who has graduated in Mass Media and wanted to pursue advertising or marketing as a career.

After her graduation, she started working for an event management company before she got a call for 'Kkusum'. She accepted the offer and after that 'CID' happened. She got 'Main Teri...' while she was doing 'CID'. Megha Gupta also considers that it is a great honor to be working with the leading production houses of the country. The very concept of her present show instigated her to take up the show as her gut feeling says that the show is going to instantly click with the television viewers.

Well that is what young talents are all about in the Indian Television Industry with an iron determination and strong resolution to prove their merit and captivate the hearts of the audiences. This young lasso is sure to go a long way in the coming times by means of her intense dedication and acting potential.
